“The Special Forces Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization serving U.S. Army Special Forces (“Green Berets”) and their families. The Foundation provides a range of programs designed to address the fraying of these elite forces after nearly two decades of sustained combat. Their programs contribute to the maintenance of the mind and body, and, provide acute and ongoing support in resolving psychological, emotional, and relationship issues before they become chronic.”
The U.S. Army’s Green Berets are an elite brotherhood of Soldiers who, at their core, are problem solvers. They embody the ethos of special operations — working outside conventional units among indigenous personnel who share a common enemy, training them, and often fighting alongside them. This means learning cultures & languages, making friends in often unlikely places, operating alone or in small numbers, and it also means having to master countless combat skills in order to pack one of the hardest punches U.S. ground troops have to offer.
Their motto is: “De Oppresso Liber” - “To Free the Oppressed.”
Blast Zone’s owner, Jason Wise, is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a Counterintelligence Special Agent before earning the coveted Green Beret and going on to serve in Special Forces on numerous operations and multiple deployments in support of the Global War on Terror. Since he’s no longer jumping out of planes, sneaking around foreign lands, chasing bad guys, or blowing stuff up; Jason has found a new mission: to bring the eco-friendly & mobile surface prep, coating, & disinfecting services of Blast Zone to Central Indiana! As part of this new mission, Jason has also committed to helping & honoring his Special Forces brothers by donating a portion of all Blast Zone’s proceeds to the Special Forces Foundation.
